I have a leak behind the fuse panel you can see some older water stains. Its causing moisture in the carpet and I believe its the culprit to my window on the drivers side to stop working today (had a strong motor). I am suggesting to myself that water is leaking in on the drivers side wiper arm mount and or the loose weather stripping on the hood. I am addressing both of those right now but does anyone know of some place else water can leak from in that area?
wow! a water leak in a c3! never heard of that before!
there's a gasket that seals the engine side of the fuse panel to the firewall. could be a leak where the glass firewall is bonded and riveted to the metal birdcage. it could be a crack in the glass of the cowl, or where the wipers are mounted to the cowl. also, the biggie, the bond between the hood and the lower birdcage may have opened, and rust may have perforated the metal and is allowing water to drain from the windshield into the cabin.
check the number 2 body bolt areas by pulling the plastic kick panels. if your window motor stopped, water may have worked it's way down from the cowl.
good luck !
