Power Brake Booster Rebuild?
Anybody ever rebuild there power brake booster? I have done several on european cars over the years and not really that big of a job! Where do you get the parts? I have a 71' coupe.

Unless you have to have the one that’s on the car I would not attempt to rebuild it even then I would send it out (good luck getting it apart) . You can buy rebuilt ones for under $100. Or new ones for $150 -$200. They are available from local auto parts stores and supporting vendor of this forum.

The NCRS Driveline magazine will have advertisements from people who rebuilt the boosters.
Joining the NCRS is a good idea, even if you're not a "NCRS" person. It's not that expensive.

I used These guys

To rebuild a booster from a 63 Buick that I rebuilt a few years ago. I was very pleased with the job Dewey did.

Bench testing the booster.
Can they be bench tested if it's out of the car? Would a reputable brake shop be able to do a bench test. I'm taking everything off the firewall to patch, clean and paint the firewall.
