If I remember correctly you had a Edelbrock 1901 carb on an L36 that you were rejetting. Have you finished and what rods and hangers did you end up with? Recently installed #73 main jets and the engine is running worse than before. I am taking it back to the guy this week to try agian. :smash:
Dont remind me!  All I have done with the Edelbrock 1901 is to change the secondary rods. I dropped in AX rods. I havent even taken the top off that carb yet. I rebuilt my old qjet and apparently did a really crappy job because when I put it on the car it barely ran. No problem, I was going to send it to lars anyway. I guess I will have to try again myself.
i will go back and check my notes on the #1901, but I havent done squat with it yet. I need to keep one running carb around. I don't want to screw both of them up!! MJ
As far as I know, my engine is stock (68 L36). I have flowmaster 50s and this summer plan to install headers which may require a richer setting on the carb.
If you have only put in larger primary jets without also changing the primary rods, wouldnt that make you run too rich at idle and cruise? I know just enough about carbs to be dangerous. (In other words, very little, but I am learning) MJ
I know less than you, but I found a local guy who knows alot about Quadrajets.
I went back by his place yesterday afternoon and he switched out the 73's for 71's. He also slightly enlarged the idle jets. I think that is what you call them.
The engine is now idleing great like before. I'm not sure about performance yet. He also changed the float level and did something to the hangers but I'm not sure what.
