Now I know why I spend great quantities of money on a piece of fiberglass only get to drive it 6 months of the year, why I spend hours polishing and waxing a piece of fiberglass, why I spend hours on the Corvette Forum reading other peoples obsessions---yesterday was one gorgeous day in Northern Minnesota--up early--the first wash and wax of the season--T-Tops off--to town to fill up with gas and a little Octane additive--hit the volume **** on the stereo--catch a few young kids staring and the old fart and his shiney red car--lets's go cruising--hit the throttle--went into a corner a little hard--heart went pitter patter and I remember thinking "AM I ONE LUCKY PERSON"---thanks guys for all the help.
Sometimes I wish I had to put mine away for storage. In the spring time everybody is so happy to get theirs out, and its just getting too hot to drive mine. I never see the effects of getting to drive it after a hiatus.
I dunno though, I kinda like this setup. :smash:
Very cool! I captured the essence of that feeling yesterday afternoon. While returning home from a cruise, I passed a family riding bicycles and the boy (approximately 8 years old) proclaimed loudly, "WOW, Look at that Corvette". I smiled big and waved.
im one of the few who get to drive it year round but today when i went out for a cruise some kids were on the corner giving me the thumbs up and yelling COOL CAR...you get so warm and tingly inside.
Soon very soon, I will be getting those thumbs up. I have really enjoyed working on mine this winter, but I think I am going to enjoy driving it much more.  :yesnod:
