Default Need lesson on header install please.

I'm hoping to get the new ZZ4 engine in this weekend, and need some advice on installing the headers. The existing system was setup for stock exhaust manifolds going to a 3" exhaust. The headers I bought are Dynomax Jet-hot coated, and are supposed to fit the angled plug heads of the ZZ4.
My concern is where and how to measure and cut. Also, is there welding needed?
Thanks

I can weld quite well, but decided to take mine to a Muff Expert. He did a great job cutting my exhaust and welding the collector to tie it in.

My 2 cents worth, I probably would stick with the Muff Expert.

Nah....I drove mine down through open headers :jester . Just very slowly and ducked down in the seat...hoping no officers were around. In reality, most cops, if you explain what you are doing, would probably be pretty cool about it. I've had a couple stop by to talk to me...when I was out working on the car....just keep you're foot out of it on the way there. Of course not offending the neighbors may be a different story, but I figured they'd get over it...most of them are pretty cool, only a few that don't care about cars in my area.

I just installed my headers this weekend. They are the same you have gotten. I plan on driving my car with open headers to the exhaust shop this week. I will get them to bend and install 2.5 inch exhaust under my car and hang/attach it to the hooker max flow muffler I bought. To be safe leave early in the morning to avoid traffic.

I had to haul mine down there to get the exhaust tied up by trailer. I didn't think I would be able to drive it 30 miles with open headers.
