Default 1973 Brake Upgrades

Hello All,

I just purchased a 73 Corvette. I have had a 2002 ZO6 for a few years before making the switch. One of the first things I would like to upgrade is the brakes. The stock manual brakes leave a little something to be desired. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I should start or if there is a good upgrade kit to use?

The stock brakes are awesome brakes. When properly maintained.
When they are properly setup, the stock manual brakes can lock up the wheels no problem (speaking from experience).
After all maintenance is taken care of, the major downfall of the brakes is heating up and boiling the fluid (you shouldnt experience this problem on the street) I put 3" brake ducts and ATE super blue brake fluid in my car to help prevent this on the track

p.s.
Hydroboost WILL NOT improve braking distance compared to a properly working manual setup as some people tend to believe.

Well thats good to know. I will rebuild them then and see if that gets me where I want to be. These brakes won't see any track use. I just want something nice and safe for cruising.
