Good deal! Glad you finally got it fixed... Long hard road but now you have wipers...

Ernie, If you get a chance please check out my new wiper problem thread, read each of my posts if you would. I'd like some ideas before I start tearing this apart.

I having a the same problem with my 1980 vette, when I turn the key on smoke comes from the motor, and I can smell the relay, located in rear campartment, getting hot. Both the motor and the relay are brand new. Wiper wasn't working so replaced both with new parts, wiper still not working.

Cool 78-82 is an entirely different motor set up. Did you bench test the motor before you installed it? My guess is the old motor did the same thing too.

To start with you should remove all wires from the motor and hard-wire test it. There are instructions on my site. http://willcoxcorvette.com/repairand...lp.php?hID=285

You will also find videos posted here on a YouTube video on testing the motor. Use the one for the 1969-1972, they wire the same as 73-82.

And you might want to start a new thread. I saw this and thought Smokey was at it again . People are more apt to look at a current thread and since the motors are so different it would be best.
