I need some expert advice here or just your opinions. As some of you know I rebuilt my L-81 over the winter. I fired it up today for the first time "Cam Breakin". The engine ran great, started right up and had no trouble running the break in. My concern is that at idle my oil pressure is 45 to 50 and at 3000 RPMs its around 65 to 70. I am running 15w-40 motor oil so that might be part of it. Should I be concerned with this kind of oil pressure out of a standard pump?.......Tim

Sounds like your standard pump has the high pressure spring in it? You can verify pressure with a manual gauge to verify this if you like, but the pressures you state are right where I like to see them.
