Default Removing A/C - questions

I decided to remove my AC compressor (don't use, want less weight more power). I removed the actual compressor and the brackets. I will get around to everything else like hoses, condenser, etc later however will it hurt anything to leave it like this for now?

It won't hurt anything, but you might seal the ends of the hoses up just in case you change your mind down the road.

Remove the evaporator off the firewall too. Get a new cover plate from acdelete.com. They fit nicely.

The a/c compressor and brackets were long gone from my car when I bought it. This year I finally removed the rest of the system and blocked it off with one of the a/c delete plates. I LOVE IT. There is so much real estate over there now. Headers, spark plugs, no problems.

When you put on your cover, you can use a 2 inch hole saw to relocate your resistor to the location in the pic below.

I may remove. That is a lot of money but it looks good. How hard is it to remove?

Not too bad to remove. There is an access panel just behind the wheel well, on the bottom. Remove that, remove the separator - looks like an aluminum can. Then unbolt the evap housing. There is one bolt inside the car. Pull the carpet back from under the dashboard on the pass side and you'll see it. You have to locate and drill the holes in the new cover. Mount your original fan. That's most of it.

No. It's your heater/defroster core. You need it if you want warm air for heating and defrosting.
