speedo cable change - transmission fluid
my speedo started jumping between 0-30 now and cruise accelerates / fluctuates out of control too! (before it would just fluctuate up and down 5mph) this just seemed to happen over the storage period of this last winter.
so i lubed the upper cable it spins freely anyways but a very small amount of lube none the less. vacuum hoses all look good. so now its lower cable OR transducer. (id rather change the transducer then worry bout tranny leaking after wards

my question is- it doesn't sound like rocket science but when i replace the lower cable at the transmission, will fluid leak out while I'm fiddling with changing it? i know nothing about pulling the cable out down there and the plastic gear etc.

update- i removed the transducer tonight. the upper hole is rounded out the rest looks good. top cable moves smoothly bottom moves smoothly but probably a good idea to change the lower cable at least while i'm at it?
