Wiper motor wiring switch question

Working on putting my vette back together and everything is working except for the wiper motor to park. Checked the wires and they are all good except the black wire with the white stripe on the wiper switch. The AIM diagram has a Black wire in this position, not the Black and White wire. So I'm wondering if the AIM is correct or not correct. The problem I'm having is even with the Wiper Switch in the off position, the wipers are still running at slow speed. Maybe I need a new switch. Here is a photo of the wire in question.

Black / white stripe is correct.

Your welcome.

It is possible to get the connector on backwards if the terminals are bent.
