Default Hood Open Warning Switch

Hello,
my car is from ´69 . What is the function of the "Hood Open Warning Switch " ? Does it only work with the alarm system or does it activate the door ajar lamp, too ? I cannot find anything in my wiring diagrams.
The rear door ajar switches work also for both systems (alarm and ajar lamp ) , I think.
Thanks Uli

The hood switch is only for the alarm.
The rear door switches are only for the door ajar light.

Hi Roger,
thanks for the answer. Do the front "door switches" work on the alarm system AND the courtney lights ?

Yes , and the drivers side controls the key buzzer.
(In later years the alarm was moved from the front switches to the rear.)
