Question re: TCS wires and HEI
I'm finishing up installing new harnesses (engine and dash) on my '70. The car has a ZZ4 engine with an HEI distributor. My question is that since I am not using the TCS relay are the 2 black/pink wires a good place to tap into for HEI bat and the electric choke?
I always go inside to the 12 pink coming off the ignition switch and tap in using a large scotchlock ,then roll up the resistor wire in the engine compartment in case someone wants to go back to points.
Thanks, I'll check that out. I guess I was trying to take the easy way out. At my age I try to spend as little time as possible under the dash.
OK,well there is another possibility that you can try. Just under your throttle cable engine side are 2 wires (pink and green)that go to the backup light switch on a 4 speed car. You can use the pink for power,Ive used it on Pertronix installs but I've never tried it on the HEI.
