3/5 7 from another angle

the other side looks dry on 4-8, and just a little bit of oil on 2.

I'm no expert but that doesn't look too bad, I've seen worse.
Is it an automatic or stickshift?

Does the car smoke when you first start it up in the morning? My guess is worn valve seals, guides or both. I'm no expert...

i honestly cant remember, its been about 6 months since i parked it. if it did smoke, it was only a little, and only for a moment or two.

Thats a classic sign of bad seals or guides. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will comment. Good Luck

The reason I asked you stick or automatic is because if you downshift a lot with a stick it causes some oil to get past the rings and it gets burned on the next stroke.
Never stopped me from downshifting a lot but that's what it does.
Like I said earlier they look ok to me but no 7 may need some new valve seals. If it runs fine don't fix it except 7.

How many miles on engine.valve stem seals are not that hard to replace.the do wear and crack over time.if it smokes on startup and quits after a minute its probably the seals.

theyre original, so...75k-ish miles on them. from what i remember, it smokes for a few moments, and then clears up.

install new seals on all 16 ... not hard to do ... I did mine w/ Both Orings & Umbrellas ... and replied to a VS seal thread here where I described an easier & much faster method. Search.

You might also consider ... intake manifold gasket(s) may also be leaking ... sucking oil fom valley into port(s).
