1974 Brake booster install help???
Thanks,
With the door propped open, kneel beside it.
If you have a/c remove the duct under the column. (1 screw at foot light)
Get a 3/8" ratchet, 2 foot of extensions, a universal and deep 9/16" socket in that order.
You just feel for the 4 nuts and unbolt, no need to look.
Look at a pic of the pin lock clip first. Use a flat screwdriver to bend lock tang and push up.
Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes, clip is the hardest.
It let me lie on my back looking up into the dash area, and I could clearly see the 4 bolts, and the pin and clip. I think its a 9/16 nut on the 4 bolts. I used the socket then a flexible extension piece, and two long extenders before it got to the ratchet. This let me get the angle to the nuts, and the 2 extenders were far enough out of the dash area that I could unscrew the nuts.
Taking the clip off was easy. Putting it back on was difficult. I could not get my fingers in between the area to put it back on. I used a long needle nose pliers to hold the clip and that let me slide it on far enough that I could push it the rest of the way with my fingers.
