Last year when I bought her noticed the alarm horn was disconnected. Previous owner said it would go off for no reason. So today I thought it should be in working order. Hooked a 12V light on the horn leads and started trouble shooting problem. All switches are in working order[t-tops, doors, hood] but found the driver side door lock real touchy. After turning the key counter-clockwise to unlock door and disarm system, alarm would still go off when door was opened. All it took was a very small amount of rotation clock-wise before removing the key and it would work fine. It seems there should be a lot more tolerance with key position to arm the system than what there is now.
The question I have, and before I remove the door panel, is this something that is adjustable such as a micro-switch mounted to the door lock or possibly internal of the locking mechanism? Can this be repaired or does it need to be replaced?
Thanks
