Default Heater Control Cable

I am in the process of restoring my interior and I would like to know how hard it is to change the heater control line. I have the center console taken apart. I have no idea how to get to the other end of the cable. Should I not go there? Thanks

Chris,

I'm also resoting the interior of my 75 and with all dash panels removed replacing the cable is a cinch.

I have heard that taking apart the dash in a 1980 is a definate no-no. Any way to get at it other than taking apart my entire dash?

In my 78 you can access the heater control valve that the cable operates by taking out the glove box. Real easy, I had to replace a vaccum line.

If you have an assembly manual you should be able to find it in there.

I took my dash out (well the whole interior) to sound proof, and had no issues with the dash.

But it is better to take the glove box out, to access the heater control line. :yesnod:
