I finally did it. The big nose finally got in the way of something and scratched itself. Right on the right front quarter. It's about 8" long. It just makes me :U .
DAMNIT!!!!! I can't believe I did that. I was being so good too. Original, excellent condition, paint and only 25,000 miles. :U
I feel the pain dude!! During a storm here last week my FRC's hood and right fender got creamed by some high speed shingles which left some seriously bad scrapes and scratches.
I was speechless to say the least when I saw it. Kinda makes your heart stop...then you get PISSED OFF. But I just got it back from the shop today and their work was flawless and now I'm all HAPPY again.
Everyone who ever owned a Corvette warned me about the nose before I got the car. None theless, I poked my little brother's bike with it *once*. No damage though.
Now that I've gotten so used to it, I tend to park most other cars a foot to and a foot and a half further away from things than I would with the vette.
Go figure!

PS If you think our cars are bad, try a new camaro. Long nose that disappears like a van's.
It didn't take me long after buying my car to put a new crease in the garage door. Wife gave me poopie about that for a while.
Then on my new house which has double garage doors (2 9' wide doors instead of a single 16' door) I turned a little too soon while backing out and the corner of the bumper caught the brick. I thought  but when I looked, there was NO damage at all to the chrome. I had just barely brushed it and I stopped quick enough. Whew!
Parking lots take getting used to though. I've learned to park so that I'm in line with the REAR seat of whatever I'm parked next to.
Those noses are especially tough for us that don't drive em year round. I have drove the crap out of mine after hardly driving it for 3 of the 4 years I have owned it so I am getting use to it again.
