Default 82 Emblems in Decal form ??

Hello, I'm looking to replace my Emblems when I re paint. I want to use Decals instead I intend to install them on the Color Coat and then Clearcoat over them. I know they are avalable for the C5 C6 easy enough I have bought them at Corvettes of Calsile. Any body know of a supplier who has them for the C3 I perfer the 82 Style. I can have a Local Decal Co knock them out but if somebody already has them thats easy. Thanx....

I don't know of a source for decal copies of any 68-82 style emblems.

Have you spoken to a decal or label company about doing this? GM is very protective of their logo's and a commercial shop producing them without GM permission (and paying their fees of course), could open themselves up to serious legal issues. I'm not saying that it's not done, and that people haven't gotten away with it, I'm just curious if you found someone to do this, as most label companies are pretty careful about reproducing a copy written logo.

As an option, you may want to talk to a custom painter. I have seen many custom cars with "emblems" and "moldings" painted on by air brush. This looks very cool and has the same effect as what your contemplating.

Actually I think that it may look even better. A decal or label will just be flat, with no depth or definition. When it's done by air brush, the painter can create the illusion of depth by painting shadows and highlights, making it appear more like a real emblem.

Yes I'm aware that the General wants part of anything sold with there Logo on it. Al Knock told me that 15% of our costs for Interior Parts goes to the General. I'm going to have Jon Byers in Auburn Wa Paint the Car and He is an exspert with an Air Brush.
