Shift kit needed?
My goal is to successfully run 10" wide drag slicks without spilling the guts out of the rear end. I have a ZZ502 with 200 shot of nitrous in the range of 700hp.
I've been wondering if I should install a shift kit in my freshly rebuilt TH400 using OEM parts. From what I understand the kit will take some slippage out of the trans. Is this indeed easier on the trans? Is this harder on the drivetrain? Does this make for more consistent ETs?
