pusher or puller?
I am looking for an electric fan for stock rad. Only two questions should I use a puller fan between the motor and rad or a pusher in front of rad? 2nd should I just buy a new rad and fan set-up complete?
I am sure this has been talked about many times here but I just can not find the answer that tells me the right way to go.

most run this setup, this is for an automatic. will probably need a alternator upgrade also.

If you have an automatic trans, this is the way to go. I tried to piece together my own radiator/fan system and ran into all kinds of problems you don't need. It seems like much cost, but if your time and aggravation is worth anything, it is a bargain. To get my Champion radiator to fit, new radiator mounts and cushions needed to be custom fabricated. The trans line bungs couldn't be used, so I needed to use stand alone trans coolers. There was much more, but you get the idea. As mentioned, you will probably need to upgrade your alternator to around 120 amp output.
If you have a 4-speed car and the original radiator cools the engine to 180*, you could get away with just adding the fans. Also, many guys have had success using universal fit radiators. You can search the forum for their effort. Good luck....this can be a PITA job for an automatic, but think DeWitts system makes it much easier.
IF ! you do not have an extra $1000 laying around for a new radiator and fan set up, you could always add a fan to your existing set up.
I went online and bought a 3000 cfm puller S blade for $40, add a couple of relays to the system and still very affordable. I have no heating problems. Just another option for you.
