Default Wiring, can someone identify these? (pics)

Hi

I'm nearly finished a body-off restoration of my -75 Vette, and I have some issues when it comes to the interior. When I bought the car the interior was partly removed, so there are some things here that look like BUBBA, as you call it...

A = This item connect to the breaking switch near the pedal. What is this for ?

B = What relay is this ? I was thinking about seat belt interlock, but I can't find those wires in my diagram.

C = What is this plug for? The yellow one is always hot. The right one (which is purple in color), I believe goes directly to the starter solenoid. I thought maybe the yellow one should be connected to my neutral switch ?

Thanks :-)

br

I think B is the horn relay or seat adjuster realy, C goes to your seatbelt relay. Not sure about A, maybe a suppressor for your radio from the distributor. This is just me trying to figure out your wiring diagrams and guessing on wire color that is in the picture. It is heard to tell between yellow and tan and red and pink in you pictures. Just a guess.

Yes Sir; One the best investments I made was a Large print out of my wiring. Lectric Limited Inc. 1-708-563-0400 Makes them. All your suppliers carry them. Have a fun day. Gene

Get the giant wiring diagram with pictures of every connector from Doc Rebuild. Have it for my '75, awesome!

A - looks like a radio noice cancelling part.
B - Not sure, might be seatbelt interlock. It's definately the right size and location for where I found it in my '75. But mine had no housing and had been shorted a long time ago by a previous owner. got any more pictures of it? any inside the casing or with the plugs undone? Definately would like to see / understand more.
C - looks like a seatbelt relay

Hi

I've already got a laminated diagram from Lectric, but it's not that easy I think.

It seems like the colors from the diagram not always match those in my car...

I wish I have bought some colored diagram instead. Like those from Dr Rebuild... I have seen some samples, and they look great...

What color are the wires going to the connector in C ? It appears to be the neutral safety switch connector.

The left wire is yellow, and always hot. No matter if the ignition is on, or off.

The right one seems purple, and I believe it's connected directly to the starter solenoid.

Yes, maybe it's suppose to connect to the neutral switch? That would make sense....

A. Looks like just a condenser.

B. I beleive that to be power window relay?

C. Yes that is your neutral switch. There is a jumper harness that connects to it that's often missing.

In pic B, the power window relay is the other one. You can see it pic B, the one with no circle...

I'm going to check the neutral switch, as you say. Maybe I can figure out how they was suppose to be connected.

Thanks :-)
