Default Good source for small block oil pans

I'm looking to replace the oil pan on my 75 L48 auto. The current one is smashed, rusty and leaky. IWhere's the best place to get a good quality stock design pan and roughly how much should I expect to pay. I don't want to mess around with cheap repro's that will not fit correctly.

Also, are any of you using the aftermarket high volume pans (Morosso) with the large square baffle section instead of the traditional pan shape. Do you recommend this design over the stock design ? If so, what would you recommend.

thanks much.

John.

John. Easiest way is to pick up your Summit or Jegs catalog. Wide selection, good prices, name brands. JCL :D "Sidepipes are the way

Just a thought on Vette pans. I bought a crate engine for my car from Summit several years ago. It came with a brand new pan, a "standard SBC" pan, according to Summit. But that pan was signficantly different in shape from my stock Vette pan. There were several differences, but the biggest one had to do with clearance for the steering linkage. So I cleaned up my old pan, painted it, and swapped them out. In the process of the swap, I discovered that the oil pump pickups were WAY different. So I also had to pull the old pickup off the old pump and tack-weld it into the new pump, after double-checking the clearance between the bottom of the pickup and the bottom of the pan.

Sometimes it seems like everything is connected to everything else...

I have the Moroso 7 qt pan. I like it, but as said above, if you go anything other than stock, you need to have the correct pickup.

OH NO I just installed a new high volume pump on my new engine and didn`t even think about the pickup. The pickup on the new oil pump is tack welded into place. Tomorrow I will find out if this is gonna work.
