Replacement radiator options
The radiator on my 77 is in sad shape and not have many more miles left in it so I need to replace it but cant decide on what. Stock replacement is around $240, it does have a/c on it, but I can get a big aluminum racing radiator for $185. Is there any other radiators out there that will work that might be cheaper? I would rather use a direct replacement but don't want to have to spend that much if I don't have to.

For my '77 L82 I was quoted $325.00 for a new one from Mex. with poss. lower hose fit problems that the radiator shop would adjust. Or $300.00 to recore my old tanks. They advised the original would start leaking if it was cleaned. Want to see an answer also. mike...

I bought a four row copper from Advance Auto for my 82 for $239. Perfect fit and the car runs too cold now.

Summitt Aluminum $159. but I did have to spend a lot of effort getting hoses and aluminum elbows.
