I have a 750mighty demon carb with annular boosters and I've been trying to tune it for proper AFR with a wideband 02. I just noticed that one of the boosters is loose on the secondary side and I can grab it and wiggle it. I pulled the bowl and metering plate off and theres no screw holding it in, it looks like it was staked in or something? I'm not sure how to tighten it up???
barry grant is out of business so I cant find any tech advice on this issue!!
They are a press fit. At the shop we remachine the poor out of square BG booster slots and then we epoxy the boosters back in place square to the throttle bores
From: Who says "Nothing is impossible" ? I've been doing nothing for years.
On my Drag Race Demon I had to buy a tool from Barry Grant when I changed it from downleg to annular. It has a handle with four short prongs on it, these fit in the four small holes you will see when you take off the bowl where the booster comes thru. Unless they are press-fit from the factory

JB Weld epoxy would keep it in but if you have bigger problems I would try Mike Laws in Florida for parts. There is a good reason BG went out of business. Anyone want a BG 650 Claw double pumper, I'll take $275 for it, it's almost brand new.

I love my 825 Drag Race Demon, this type of carb is not off the shelf and put on your motor and drive away, took me a year to tune it properly but now I wouldn't trade it for anything.
The other Demons are pretty easy to get up and going, why did BG go out of business, they were developing all kinds of new stuff ?
another problem Ive been having with the carb is that the front float bowl goes empty after the car sits for awhile. I found a problem with the PV and saw that the threads drilled in the metering block for PV were off slighty...this was causing PV not to fully seal when installed.
I called JEGS up today and and explained my carb problems and they offered to take carb back on a return and refund me the full credit toward any new carb I want.
