Fuel Problem
Just tried starting my 1981 vette for the first time this year and it won't run. If I put fuel in the carb it starts. I replaced the fuel filter and verified fuel is gushing out the line, so the pump is working. Must be electronic problem. I cannot see fuel getting from the bowl to the inlet ports. Ideas?
TUNED OUT TO BE THE NEEDLE ON THE FLOAT. A LITTLE AIR PRESSURE ON THE INLET WHERE THE FUEL FILTER RESIDES AND I'M ALL SET. RUNS GREAT.

I had the same problem on my '80 also. I wound up rebuilding the carb. The old fuel that was left in it when it was parked late last year had varnished up my jets. After a good cleaning and new gaskets and seals it was going again. Don't know if this will help you but it worked for me. Best of Luck.
