Alternator only setups?
Does anyone have pics of their set up or know of a specific kit to run only an alternator and water pump on an '81?
I'm thinking seriously about a manual rack steering conversion, and have already deleted the a/c. I have seen bracket kits that summit sells, but I'd like to see what others have used with success.

I just put one of the Summit alt. bracket's on my '81. I took off the power steering, and run the manual steering pitman arm and drag link. Kinda hard to see in these pic's. I've got tall valve covers and had the stock alt. arm and bracket on, that I modified, but didn't like the way it looked. So I changed to this short W/P alt. kit. It also has the March underdrive pulleys. I like the quality of it, real tight and solidly mounted. However I've got to get a shorter fan belt.
