I have a 79 and it is all original undernean. My question- is the mono spring 360lb and 550 lb front coils the thing to do as a daily driver,(leaning towards this] or will I not be happy with it. Just like to know what some of you have done and like, that use your car as daily drivers.Maybe rear steel springs is better as a daily driver?dont know.appreciate any experience you can give, I have none with corvettes.
Can't comment what is right for you BUT I can tell you that a composite spring will ride MUCH better than a comparable steel spring. IMHO, my 360 composite spring rides much better than a 300 LB steel spring. You make the call what is best for you.
Composite rear spring is the single best thing you can do to these cars to improve both the handling and the ride!
I put on a complete package many years ago with springs, poly bushings, gas shocks, and sway bars. Huge improvement and I drive my car every day. Yes the ride is a little firm, but that's what the car is for. Not objectionable at all to me. If you want a cushy ride, buy a Caddy.
