Default Ls1 swap wiring harness question

So as some my know im doing an ls1 swap in my 74 vette. Its been a almost a year and ive come down to doing the wireing harness. I got a 5.3 truck harness but after putting that on i realize it super messy and i have a lot of extra plugs. what do you guys who have done the swap thing about a ebay harness? i was looking at this one.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TQ:MOTORS:1123

theres also a guy on ebay that will charge 325 to take my old harness to change it. to what the above seller is doing.

what would be my best route? anyone know a cheaper solution?

You can just trim off the extra plugs close to the wiring bundle, put plastic wiring loom around everything and tape it up to make it look neat.

I sent mine to wait 4 me performance in Indiana, it cost about $350 I think and they trimmed what wasn't needed and re-programmed the box.

I thought they did a great job and it was worth the money.

I still am finalizing some things and streamlining some parts but overall I am pleased.

I have done this sap in my 74 convert with a LS6. I bought a simular harness from the same people. Sure saves a lot of headache. I tried sending a camaro harness to be downsized, came back only to find it had ECU plug problems and would not work.

Recall a few month's back seeing one of the weekend car program's(think Horsepower), where they attended a LS fest, having an LS engine swap out competition. Can't remember the companies name, but make's an entire ECU/harness kit specifically for this purpose. A group of guy's did this swap in a 71' Old's Cutlass up and running in about 1/2 hour. Sure you can track down the episode online, as fun to watch.

I sent the first one out to Wait4me too. I used the site below to modify the second harness, it wasn't too hard. I also had him program my ecu, $75.
