Trans mount braket?

Trans mount braket?
Working on my 77 vette sbc 350 th350. Hmmmm does anyone know what the braket between the trans and mount is? Looks like it had an arm that came off towards the cat, but it was cut and now is just some spacer.
Putting my new poly mount in and it's thicker so wondering if I should leave it out?
Also weird the new mount won't line up with x-member holes, tried pulling trans over but wouldn't budge. I remember thinking when I drop the driveshaft it looked close to one side of the tunnel. Only thing I could think would affect this maybe would be the solid mount i put on the passenger side, but that went on super easy.
Ah well I'll sleep on it and give it another try in the morning.

Weird I got the braket and x-member braket from a stick acording to your manual, but it's a th350 I know I just put a new filter, pan gasket, rear seal, and painted the pan. I know the trans was out because it has drainplug and one of the case nonused ear bolt tabs is broken.
Wait looking at your manual pic shows a tailshaft mount for the auto, mine is on the case more towards the front.
edit: oh yah forgot has nonstock exhaust y into a single 3" prob why it's cut

Seems I should leave the exhaust braket out http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/tr...nt-energy.html the shim that came with the mount looks bout the same thickness.
