Default fuel pump replacement

when i disconnect the lines from my fuel pump will the contents of my tank drain out ? will the carb drain too ?

yes siphon action will keep the gas flowing from the gas tank unitl you stop it ....only the gas in the line to the carb will flow backwards.

you can clamp the gas lines from the gas tank or blow air through them to stop the siphon action, ....as for the line to the carb that will just empty out

figured as much....sounds messy. and i happen to have a full tank !

i hated the idea of clamping my good hoses so i shot low pressure air in the line to the tank with the gas cap off and when it bubbled i stuck a bolt in the hose...i think it did it with both the supply and the return line but i dont think the return line will siphon

I've always found an old spark plug does the plugging job quite well
