Hi everybody, thanks for checking in. I own a 79 model. I did an off frame restoration with new calipers and new brakelines. The system is nowhere leaking and the Booster inside is dry but I still canīt get a good pressure on the brake pedal. SOMEBODY KNOW WHERE THE PROBLEM IS.
I live in Germany and Corvettes here are super rare, so there is nobody who can give me advise. So please.................. :smash:

Re: Canīt get brake pressure PLEASE HELP (razz1980)
I'd start by gravity bleeding(master cylinder cover off bleeders cracked till flow) then the old 2-man bleeding ritual. If you can't get any pressure on the pedal then, I'd suspect the master cylinder. Hope that helps keep us informed
and Welcome to the forum

Re: Canīt get brake pressure PLEASE HELP (Pete79L82)
Just so you are sure you are doing it correctly you must bleed them in the following order.
Left rear caliper - inner, then outer
Right rear caliper - inner , then outer
Left front caliper
Right front caliper
If it is not done in that order you will not got all out all the air trapped in the lines.
I'd never heard that before, what is the technical reasoning behind that method?
Another trick for bleeding that I've found works well is using a vacuum pump to bleed the brakes. Just make sure you keep an Eye on the fluid level in the master cylinder and buy a bunch of extra brake fluid.

I thought it was:
Passenger Rear, inner then outer
Driver Rear, inner then outer
Passenger Front
Driver Front

In truth it is when they give directions like this it is from the front of the car not the drivers seat . So the left is actualy the passinger rear and if you follow the break lines the passinger rear line is the longest one.
