Tranny Temp?
What should a Turbo 400 run temperature wise around town and on the highway.
I recently installed a trans temp gauge in the line going to the cooler in the radiator due to suspicion of overheating problems. It seems like my Turbo 400 is running 20-60 degrees warmer than my engine temperature. The hottest my tranny got on this trip was about 230F. As soon as the tranny gets above about 180F my shifting around town goes to crap and isn't consistent at all. What should I do? Am I running to hot?
