Default '69 Parking E-Break Console & Windows

Can anyone recommend a nice solid E-Break Console w/ power window "inserts"? Mine seems to be cracking under almost no weight at all if i lean my elbow on it.

Related note; the power windows are stuck in the down position now; any recommendations as to how/why; they go down and arent coming back up.

All the aftermarket providers carry the e-brake consoles, with or without power window cut outs.

If neither window is operating, check the relay. Some model years also have a PW circuit breaker under the hood. Switches might be bad, although the driver's switch usually fails before the passenger's.

The assembly instruction manual (AIM) will show you the location of each and list the original part numbers.

The one in my car just seems like real garbage; its made out of a cheap plastic or fiberglass..was that standard? I really just think its some aftermarket pos and it would be nice to know whether this is just the way it is and I gotta be careful with my elbow or can i get a decent one.

It's made out of a cheap plastic, mine is the same way. Mine is in pretty good shape though, and doesn't seem to be having the same problems as yours. Try Eckelers, which is expensive, or you can look on ebay.

I believe my console is original and the fibergalss is only ~1/16" thick. It's not really intended to be used for an armrest, and with the age of these cars most of the interior parts have become brittle. I put a crack inthe top of mine while leaning on it doing some other console work.
