Bouncing Tach.. need help!
My tach started to bounce today. When idle it's fine, but when driving down the road.. 2500+ rpm.. it will bounce from side to side like a pendulum and then return to the right RPM. It's almost like someone flicked it (or thumped it) with their finger. It always goes to the right first, then back down, then it evens out at the right RPM. Once it settles down, it takes about 1 second for it to do it again.
Any suggestions?

should be down by the dist. little round thing about 1 inch long. :confused:

Your tach filter is busted, you can either remove it, and get slightly jumpy readings, or you will have to make a new one, here's a post with the wiring diagrams.
