Pros - they let you lower the car farther, over many full length headers, if that's an issue with you. They cost less, generally. If you have space issues, they fit easily.
Cons - Less hp, and they tend to sit REAL FFFING close to the spark plugs and their wires. As in, you will likely have heat issues. Ask me how I know.
The market is flooded with cheap headers, both long tube and shorties. Be carefull what brand you buy and make sure that they apply to the type of driving you do. Most shorties and or huggers will require some modifications to the rest of the exhaust system. The only ones that I'm aware of that DO NOT require any modifications are the "McJacks"
They are a direct replacement for the ramhorn manifolds. I'm awaiting my set from McJacks now and hope to have them on this weekend.
