Default Front Brake Issue

Just replaced front bearings in my 82. When I removed the calipers, I made sure that I kept the pads open by inserting a socket between them as I pulled the caliper off. Now that I have the caliper back on, the wheel will not turn without considerable force once the caliper is torqued in place. I can move the inboard pad, but the outboard is all the way out already, so I don't believe its a frozen caliper. I finger threaded the bolts in, so I know they are in correctly, and the wheel would turn before without having to resort to using a pry bar wedged in the studs. Any ideas or should I just get a new caliper? Passenger side is the problem, no issues with the driver's side at all.

Sounds like you didn't get the inner bearing seated correctly.
You also could have a bad hose.

You know, that may well be, how do you know when its seated fully? I put a lot of torque on that hub, then backed off the nut and finger tightened like it said in the manual, is there a better way?

Your welcome ,glad I could help.
(once you said the inboard pad was loose I thought the rotor might be spaced out too far)
