Wiper o´ride switch?

Default Wiper o´ride switch?
Hey guys!

My Vette is a 68 one and I have a light for the wiper, but I don´t know when it should burn.
Should it burn when the wiper door is open or should it burn when the override switch (above the feets) it turned on?
