Default Seat belt guides

There are 2 chrome handle-looking things that were in the car when I bought it, I later found out they are seat belt guides. I cannot figure out where or how they are installed, there were no screw holes in the seats or trans tunnel that they line up with.
Any info or pics would be greatly appreciated, I'm about to pull the seats anyway, and this would be a great time to install.
Thanks!

They bolt to the side of the floorpan, just below the rear of the door sill. They guide the lap belt retractor, which is under the seat.

Okay, my aftermarket belts only retract from behind the seat, so I guess I don't need them.
Thanks Billsfan!

You probably still want to install them. If your aftermarket belts retract from the rear, I'm concluding you have a bolt through a static mounting point under the seat. If this is correct, you'll still want the guides. Otherwise, if the car comes to an immediate stop (aka impact) with you in the seat, without the guides there is nothing to catch the lap belts and stop them from moving forward with you.

Not necessarily so. I have single retractor belts installed in my '76, with the retractor behind the seat, using the existing upper guide. The area where the lower guide goes is the place where I bolted the free end of the seat belt. When you snap the belt buckle into the center hasp, you anchor the lap belt from both sides. No need for the lower guide.
