Default wiring help

In the process of replacing the dash, engine and forward lamp harnesses in a 74 coupe, the conector for the anti theft portion of the harness has 2 wires, 1 black and 1 white. The lock cylinder located in the driver's side fender has 2 lugs with screws coming out the back. There must be something that bridges these two together but I can't seem to find anything in my assembly manual or online. There was so much of the car missing when I started all this, I don't have much to go on to undo all the creative engineering done to this car by previous owners. I'm assuming there is a jumper harness or adapter/ extesion I don't have. If you know what this needs, great. What would be better is if someone knows where I can get one.

Thanks

Charlie

What you have in your hand goes to the anti-tamper switch that protects the alarm switch.
Alarm switch should have a pink and orange wire.
You need the anti-tamper switch which is the same switch as the headlight warning switches.
You also need the bracket that holds the tamper switch.

Thanks Roger-

The wire in your hand plugs in to the end of number 1 in the picture.

There should be a orange and pink wire that has round loops on the end of it.. these two wires go to the switch and there should be plenty of room to pull them over there.

You guys are great, thanks for all the tech info so fast. I'll have to do some looking to see if I can track down the pink and orange wires. Like I said, most of the wiring in car is either hacked, bypassed or just plain gone.

Thank you again for all the help, this system is starting make sence now and hopefully I can get this straight.

Light is starting to come on finally. The orange and pink wires are part of the forward lamp harness. (starting to feel like I've got it)

Thanks everyone. This forum has always been a great place with good people.

Have a good day
