Default Need help ordering carb...

I'm going to order a Road Demon from Summit #GPT-4282010VE. I had read somewhere that the Road Demon comes with a fuel line, but the Summit catalog lists an additional piece #GPT-441406. There's no picture of this part and it mates to a rubber hose. I'd rather go with a braided line with AN fittings. My fuel pump looks stock. I'd like to order with confidence and have everything I need to do the install. Some advise would be appreciated. Part numbers would be a bonus.

I ordered my road demon from summit and it included the fuel line. I think all road demons come with the fuel line. The following link shows the fuel line that mine came with. http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...rchType%3DBoth

What you'll need to adapt your fuel line to the new carb will depend on what you are running now. If you are running a Q-jet, you'll need a new manifold also. If you already have a Holley pattern mainfold and a dual feed carb, it will be a direct swap. I could go on with more "ifs" but it'd save a lot more time if we knew what you are changing from.

My Road Demon came with the Fuel Line....but I never put it on the car...sent it back for a Speed Demon, which did not have the included fuel line or fittings to hook the fuel line to the car.

I believe the part number you listed is for a 3/8 flared type fitting to rubber fuel hose connection. It is commenly called a barb type fitting, it slips into the hose and is held tight by a hose clamp. Then the 3/8 fitting screws onto the supplied fuel lines. If you want to go to A/N fittings you won't need it.

Sigforty--Thanks for the link, but it's not working for me. Your success with the Road Demon helped me make my carb decision.

ZORA_RULES--Thanks for the confirmation.

Vetteroder--I am running a Holley 4011 dual feed. I can't tell much about the manifold, except that it works with the 4011.

Smokehouse69--Any guidance on what I'll need from where the Road Demon's supplied fuel line ends and my pump begins? Does the Road Demon's supplied fuel line accept a 6AN to 3/8 adapter?

The AN pieces are expensive, so I don't want to order the wrong or extra pieces. Any specific guidance would help. Also, does the throttle cable need any adapters?

I bought the 650 Speed Demon Part # GPT-1282010V and the fuel line # BGI-140020. I just screwed a barded fitting into the fuel line and ran rubber down to the pump.

foundvettelifeisgood,
If you can wait a week I will have a barely used (100miles) road demon for sale. I just can't get the thing dialed in and I'm going back to a street Avenger which are made for dummy's like me. Email me if interested.
