Default 79 Seat Install

I hade the seats out of my 79 for awhile. Now when putting them back in I noticed there is a difference in the track height. So which one goes on which side ? Any guesses & why is one different than the other ?

In 1979 the cars used the following:

On non tilt cars.
470645 was the left outer and right inner adjuster
470646 was the left inner and the right outer adjuster.

On Tilt wheel cars:
471999 was used on the left outer
472000 was used on the left inner.
470045 was the right inner
470046 was the right outer..

Interesting.. even I was not sure about this..

So back to the question at hand.. I think the taller seat tracks belong on the driver side of the car. Based on the fact that the tilt wheel option would give you more room and thus allow for a higher seat. Maybe someone else can enlighten me on this too..
