Default Carb: Not enough fuel?

My 650VS Demon had sat on my 74 in the driveway for a while and would not start. After reading some similar posts on the forum I cleaned out the jets and anything in the bowls. Before cleaning the A pump would squirt fine, but the carb was not passing fuel. There was fuel in the bowls.
I cleaned the PV, but I can't tell if it is stuck or not? How much is it supposed to move, mine barely moves at all, maybe 1/8" at most.
So now my A pump does not squirt, but the car wants to start. The A pump squirted fine off the carb when filled w/cleaner.
I need to get it running to get to the shop for some long delayed upgrades!

TIA

do you see gas through the sight plug on the primary bowl? The PV moves very little, sounds normal in your case. Remove the 4 screws holding the pump to the bowl and see if there is dirt in the pump.

As a member of the "Captain Obvious" club I remembered to check the very nice window that is provided. Yes the fuel level was normal.
It seems like last time the A pump worked but nothing from the bowl.
This time is feels like the body is flowing fuel but nothing from the A pump. That's JMHO.
Thanks for the response, I have blown the obvious too many times to count. I'm sure it is something simple I missed.

when you removed the bowl and reinstalled did you make sure the gasket was installed so that the A pump port in the bowl lined up with the hole in the gasket. Some gaskets will go on either way but do not have the hole on both sides. You are asking for help from people who have no way of knowing your experience level so obvious questions will be asked.

I appreciate the effort and need to be reminded constantly to check that which I just assumed was working. I was curious about the Am pump port and it looked good to me. I checked to make sure I had the right gasket.
I will give it the once over tomorrow to check w/fresh outlook. At least I know it is not the PV. Thanks
