Default Backup lights

Hello, I've a 74 model, is it possible to disassembly the backup lights in order to paint, from inside, the red ring of the light? I need it because I have converted the light to the european turn light in yellow and when the light is on it also illuminates the red ring. Thank you

Im not sure that I am totally clear on what you mean but you should be able to just remove the two screws that hold the lens on and remove the lens. Hope this helps.

Aren't the 74 lamps sealed units? I don't think they come apart.
