Default Vitual Engine Dyno Vs Desktop Dyno

Just dl my copy of Virtual Engine Dyno. Im curious to find out the hp/tq outputs from the same engine configeration.

I have run this one below

400ci + 030
Standard stroke crank
5.7" rods Floating pins
Flat Top pistons with -4cc cuts/ 1.42 comp hight
.037 Gasket thinkness = comp ratio of 11.92
Sportsman 2 Heads 200cc runners 2.02/1.60
Comp Cams XE268H
Full Roller Rockers 1.5:1
800cfm double pumer Holley
Performer-non EGR (not rpm)
Hooker 1 3/4 inch headers Tri Y Open headers
HEI ignition 8* idle 36 total

With this combo i get

498 ft/p @3500
446 Hp @ 5250

That is some crazy torque. Makes me believe that the software is a bit optemistic and/or poo poo.

Could someone please run this through DD to compare?

www.virtualengine2000.com is the link.

Hey xrated...

There are a few sites with dyno numbers for several engine combo's. You
could benchmark the program against these.

Or, run your combination below in a 355 w/ plain 10/1 flat pistons
Try 268H, 270Magnum and 260H. I've seen these combo's somewhere. I'll
have to bring in the printout...

From another thread, here is one web site:
