I paid $84.00 for the dual groove pulley for my BB swap from Paragon. They have it labeled as being a pulley that you have to "press on" vs. just bolting it on.
I am confused, however, since I read in a Zip catalog that the '63-'74 pumps are "bolt on", and the '75-'82 pumps have "press on" pulleys. And '74 was the last year of a BB in a Corvette...
Since I have a '74, I don't understand why that BB pulley has to be "pressed" on since it is a '74 pump. I wonder what the deal with Paragon is.
I am wondering if I will have to buy a '75 and up pump.....
My 75 was also pressed on but there is a 3/8th threaded hole in the middle of the shaft. I just used a bolt and washer to draw the old pulley back onto the new pump. I held the pulley and wrenched the press fit old pulley on.
I'm looking at the 2002 Paragon catalog. All the cast iron pulleys are listed as BB w/tapered shaft and lock nut 65-74. Maybe you are looking at an old catalog with a mistake in it.
