Default Shifter slider seal

How do you remove the larger slider seal from the automatic shifter console? The smaller rectangular seal just slips out. Dr Rebuild calls the smaller rectangular seal the "upper" seal, however I believe it was installed beneath the larger one which would, IMO, make it the "lower" seal. The smaller seal has a single hole that fits over the shifter while the larger seal has a slotted hole for the shifter. Need guidance on removal of large seal, and confirmation that smaller seal is installed beneath the larger. Thanks.

Dang, if you would have asked me just a week ago, I had the whole thing out cleaning it up... I took another look at mine, and - assuming the '71 would be the same as the '75 - the smaller part is definitely underneath. I also seem to remember that the large seal is held in by a metal bracket from underneath. 1/4-inch bolts or screws hold it in place. Hopefully someone else out there has one torn apart to confirm.

Thanks! I thought the smaller piece went under the larger one, but thought I was mistaken when looking at Dr Rebuild catalog. I think I'll have to remove the rivets to get the large seal out and replace them with nut and bolt. Appreciate you help!
