Default Adjustable strut rods.. angled?

Ordered stock type adjustable strut rods for my 72 base Vette.

They have an angle on them where the stock ones are straight.

Is this correct? There is no info packed with these things and I expected to simply bolt them in as stock.

I have installed many of these strut rods and never had them offset like that.

Those rods compensate for the natural bind the rods are in. If you look at the bushings in an old rod you can see why these were made this way.

The bushings are blown out of my stock rods. I was thinking replacing them with these adjustable ones. They seem to be the same price as the stock style. Are these an improvement overr the stock style?

I wondered if that was the case... the old bushings were turned as if they were forced into an offset position for a long time..

So you think these are ok to install? I would hate to have a problem down the road..

Looks like you have strut rods for a '80-'82. They have the angled ends to compensate for the changed differential mount on the bat wing style.

Nope, just 'different'

I think that's the problem.

That would be my guess. Have a peek.

I have had these offered to me before but I always went with the OEM type because I thought that natural bind might be part of the design.

Check with manufacture , on the surface I don't see much difference between yours and the hiem joint from the stand point of freeing up the suspension.
