Half Shaft Question??

Putting in new u-joints (1350 solids). Would it be highly recomended to get half shafts balanced before reinstalation or would this be a waste of money. This is a frame off, t/a's are rebuilt, diff is rebuilt and just wanted to make sure I dont have any vibrations to chase.

Waste of money. They're too small and turn too slowly to create imbalance.

If they didn't vibrate before, they shouldn't vibrate after changing the U-joints; there would have to be some serious manufacturing or installation error with the joint for it to start a vibration, in which case balancing would just be a band-aid.

I sent my half-shafts along with the driveshaft to get new u-joints and balanced. Only the driveshaft needed balancing, the half-shafts did not...
