I say NO they dont.
But that propably depend on the height of the valvcovers you have.

Does it have it, Yes.
Does it need it? It's a tight fit, but you can weasel the normal short valve covers w/o the PB booster indent into place.
don't know about 69, but the 70-72 ncrs tech info and judging guide says that there is an indentation to clear the power brake booster on the drivers side. it doesn't specifiy if or if not this is true if the car has or does not have power brakes. i expect tonawanda didn't know if the car would have power brakes when the engine was assembled so they all had a indent.
so to answer your question, it does have the indentation, does it need it? I don't know.
this is inconsistant from what I have observed, I used to own a 70 BB non power brakes, that i am pretty sure had original covers , and they were not slanted..
but THE BOOK says they should be...
Mine has power brakes and where the indentation is has nothing to do with the brake booster. Although I have read that the dent is there for Corvettes with Power Brakes.
My '69 L71 has plenty of clearance between the booster and valve cover. While I haven't tried it, I don't think taller valve covers would have a problem either.
The C2 big blocks needed the dented valve cover on the left side...not an issue for C3's. That doesn't mean some C3's didn't receive dented valve covers...some certainly may have.
My 69 BB does not have a "dented" cover. It is a bit tight getting it in and out, but it does clear fine. Maybe later ones used a larger diameter PB booster?
